Ekaterina Kudryavzeva was born in winter 1983, on the third Christmas day – the 8th of January, in a small town Kremennaya of the Luhansk region. It was a picturesque buried in verdure place surrounded by pine forests and rivers, unlike other towns in the Donbass region. The native land in particular inspires her more, than anything.
In the age of 17 she had a journey to the Crimea, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful places in Ukraine, however, when back home, Kremennaya looked beautiful in its own way, even though it had no seacoast. Each time the town surprises Ekaterina, though the place remains the same: Krasnaya river, a swamp which was her first sketch when she was 12. The diploma of the Luhansk Art and Culture College in 2004, studying here she loves going home to paint favourite landscapes. These landscapes are the ones she usually exhibits in Luhansk and Kiev.
Ekaterina remembers her first visit to Kiev very well. Ekaterina was told at home the city was scary and she’d be all alone in the capital. And then the train... She woke up at 5.30, looked out of the window and saw the pine forest, just like in Kremennaya! It was Saturday of July, it had been pouring at night, so the morning was crystal and fresh. After seeing the Academy and visiting the museum, Ekaterina knew exactly she had to study here. Ekaterina could not believe she entered the Academy from the first!
At present Ekaterina Kudryavzeva is studying in the 3rd course in the studio of V.I.
